Position Purpose

The Compliance Manager will develop and administer programs, policies and protocols to advance the Compliance Program at Vivent Health in furtherance of federal, state and local regulations and laws.


Scope of Responsibilities

Vivent Health is one of the nation’s largest providers of HIV prevention, care and treatment services with a budget approaching $130 million and employing over 400 professionals.

The unique, nationally recognized Vivent Health HIV Medical home model of care assures that everyone with HIV has access to medical, dental, mental health and social services and provides the best opportunity for patients to achieve high quality health outcomes. Vivent Health also provides aggressive HIV prevention services to gay men, injection drug users and others at the highest risk for HIV infection.

Vivent Health currently operates in multiple states nationwide. It embraces a Market Culture to increase access to care, enhance quality outcomes, achieve and surpass financial performance expectations and has an aggressive plan to expand into additional states. 
Essential Functions
  • Ensures Vivent Health Compliance Program effectiveness and visibility throughout all Vivent Health operations to enable compliance with federal, state and local laws and best practices for a health care entity.
  • Ensures corporate compliance with HIPAA, OIG and OCR regulations, accreditations, and other areas.
  • Manages initiatives for the Compliance Program, including developing, maintaining and administering Compliance practices and functions to ensure organizational compliance with federal, state and local laws.
  • Develops, updates, and implements policies and procedures in multiple areas including HIPAA, Revenue Cycle, Stark, Anti-Kickback, and other areas as assigned in effective collaboration with relevant departments.
  • Develops and enhances comprehensive auditing and monitoring practices and systems.
  • Manages Compliance training planning, protocols and systems, including training development, implementation and tracking.
  • Collects, creates and reports Compliance Program performance metrics, including comprehensive audits and monitoring, for reporting to the Compliance Officer and senior leadership.
  • Manages and maintains compliance software to enhance Compliance Program activities and corporate performance.
  • Provides management and support of the Compliance Program, while maintain flexibility for a rapidly growing health care entity.
  • Ensures Compliance Program requirements are implemented in all areas of operation and new locations.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
  • Experience with a healthcare entity and/or in the health field.
  • 5+ years of compliance experience; or
  • 3+ years of healthcare compliance experience.
  • Commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills both verbal and in writing.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and be inventive to accomplish goals.
  • Desire to work in a fast-paced and rapidly expanding health care organization.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree, preferred
  • 340B experience preferred
  • Supervisory experience preferred
  • Compliance-related certifications or licensures preferred but not required.
