Position Purpose   

Under the direction of the Infrastructure Manager, this senior level person will provide network maintenance and support for all Vivent locations. This person is the network architect primarily responsible for managing all network end to end hardware and software solutions

 



Scope of Responsibilities

Vivent Health is one of the nation’s largest providers of HIV prevention, care and treatment services with a budget approaching $130 million and employing over 300 professionals.

The unique, nationally recognized Vivent Health HIV Medical home model of care assures that everyone with HIV has access to medical, dental, mental health and social services and provides the best opportunity for patients to achieve high quality health outcomes. Vivent Health also provides aggressive HIV prevention services to gay men, injection drug users and others at the highest risk for HIV infection.

Vivent Health currently operates in the states of WI, CO and MO. It embraces a Market Culture to increase access to care, enhance quality outcomes, achieve and surpass financial performance expectations and has an aggressive plan to expand into additional states.

Position Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Perform Firmware/Hardware Upgrades on Network equipment
  • Backup of all network infrastructure configurations (Routers, switches, etc)
  • Responsible for maintaining accurate network documentation and visio diagrams
  • Provide architectural guidance for the infrastructure team for mergers and requisitions
  • Analyze network security and identify potential exposure to remediate security concerns
  • Document the Disaster Recovery procedures for the network and participate in DR planning and testing
  • Monitor Vivent’s eLan and DIA circuits. Create/support VPN access and support for DIA
  • Troubleshoot and resolve problems on the network, and identify/eliminate any SPOFs
  • Merge multiple networks and locations during mergers/acquisitions to consolidate infrastructure to a centralized platform
  • Use network monitoring tools and applications to proactively report on network errors and threats
  • Maintain network documentation of all sites, services and hardware to include IP addresses, routing information and protocols.
  • Performance monitoring of eLan and optimization of routing
  • Present recommendations to the Infrastructure manager and VP of IT for changes that improve performance, reduce overall costs, or provide significant value to servicing patients in a healthcare environment
  • Deployment and support of Wifi infrastructure, access points, and security
  • Support of Active Directory templates, group policies, users and security as needed
  • Provide network metrics and reports to infrastructure manager
  • Ensure network solutions are HIPAA compliant and follow best practices for audit purposes

 

 

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer science or related field
  • Network certification (CCIE, CCNA, Ethical Hacker, etc)
  • Minimum of 5 years experience as a network administrator working for a mid-large national organization with multiple geographical locations
  • Excellent Oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to be self-directed, work without supervision in the office or remotely
  • Ability to do security remediation on network vulnerabilities
  • Ability to use network monitoring applications and tools to identify opportunities to increase IT capabilities
  •  As a condition of employment, a tuberculin/TB skin test is required of all new employees at the time of employment, and may be required thereafter on an annual basis, depending on position.
  • All employees must obtain an annual Influenza vaccination. Influenza vaccination is a condition of employment.  Employees seeking a medical or religious exemption may submit a request to be reviewed by the Vice President of Medical Affairs.

  • Ability to provide executive summaries for management
  • Ability to follow project management guidelines and best practices for large initiatives
  • Ability to support a VOIP network
